Schoolwide Learning Expectations


Primary Students at St. John Eudes School have the opportunity to:

 

A.  Learn about their Catholic Faith

  1. I will learn about the teachings of Jesus and the Church
  2. I will learn about the Bible
  3. I will be taught the Traditions of the Catholic faith
  4. I will learn and understand the importance of the Sacraments that I am taught

 

B.  Live the Catholic faith through our Christ-like actions

  1. I will join in worship, prayer, and the sacraments in the best way I can
  2. I will live each day remembering the teachings of Christ and The Ten Commandments
  3. I will help those less fortunate by the giving of my time and money
  4. I will live each day remembering the six pillars of character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship

 

C.  Become effective communicators

  1. I will read and comprehend what is read to me or what I read
  2. I will remember to write using correct capitalization, spelling, grammar, spacing, and punctuation
  3. I will enjoy speaking to the teacher and the class by using a loud and clear voice
  4. I will respect others by listening attentively

 

D  Become important thinkers

  1. I will think about what others say.
  2. When I need to I will ask important questions.          
  3. I will try to think about and solve problems first before I go ask for help
  4. I will share, be fair, and be a good listener to others when working in a group

 

E.  Become good citizens of the world

  1. I will respectfully understand the uniqueness and customs of people from other countries
  2. I will be taught the struggles of the various cultures in our world and appreciate them
  3. I will use kind words, follow the rules, and take turns

  1. I will be taught the computer and it will help me to learn in a different way in school
  2. I will be able to create work using the computer

  4. Identify the meaning and importance of the Sacraments

  1. Practice meaningful participation in worship, prayer and the sacraments
  2. Follow the teachings of Christ and the Ten Commandments
  3. Participate in Christian activities and service
